Bolivian Rams..
Just picked up 4 for my planted discus tank...but I honestly cant tell how to decipher male from female, any help?

Hey Diesel,
I was wondering the same thing a little while ago on the forum. I was told that "females have a slightly deeper body, variable though in general less extensions on tail and dorsal fin (don't rely solely on that) and the most sure fire way to tell is if the ovipositor is down females have larger squarer shape male smaller pointed type."

Yep - I have heard a similar explanation from my LFS to what Claire has been told.

Another point - female will develop a redish/purple colour belly at maturity.
