    coral rubble

    I was wondering what coral rubble would do to the water par
    ive added some to my sump and as of yet found no diff what do u guys think

    Hi Vince,

    when you you mention rubble you also mean crushed coral. How much did you add?

    i am also using crushed coral and believe more is needed than shell grit to get water parameter to change.

    Hey Ben
    the rubble is more like crushed bones small bits and larger type
    I noticed that my lfs had layed the bottom of their sump with the rubble and quite a large amount of it
    they say it acts as a buffer and helps with the bacti
    i have used about 4 large hand fulls, but i have mine in a stocking in case i need to remove it
