    Sand Filter for Sump Set up

    What do you reckon about this, adding it to a Sumped system for Breeding Discus

    FS:: Sand Filter for Aquarium
    Small Sand filter for a pool that we can use for our aquarium.
    This new small sand filter is good to filter up to 15,000 liter pool.
    It too came with it's own pump 4000lt/hour.
    The filter stand around 80cm and 30cm wide

    It can take 20 kilos of sand, but I only place in 7 kilos of Zeolite which a far better media than sand.
    As we all know that zeolite is a very good filter media.
    It filter's up to 1 micron and removed ammonia in the water.
    Now I know that alot of you will say that it's a very expensived media, yes it is if you are buying it from an aquarium shop.
    Buy it from a pool shop and Dannee's shop sell it for $26.50 a bag of 15kg.
    Some call it Zeolite other call the zelbrite but they are both the same.

    My water became Super clearer in 24 hours and my fish are very happy.
    I have taken the pump out from the bottom and replace my sump pump with it.
    Pump to filter and from filter to the tank.
    The best thing is that to do water change weekly I only have to back wash the filter and I have done my water change for the week.
    Not only have you done water change but you have also cleaned up your filter media as well.
    Easy too install

    its a great idea. they are used on abalone farms in their 'nursery section' were water quality is paramount.
