Some new additions + larger tank

Just thought i'd share some photos with you all.
(Apologies for the file sizes if any of you have dialup or slow IDSN.)

Firstly I have added two new additions to my tank thanks to Dave001.
I actually bought four Discus from him, but two have gone to my dad.

Both beautiful fish which have settled in nicely over the past few weeks.

Secondly I got alittle itchy over the xmas period and decided since I couldn't get a new longer tank (i'm still dreaming of a nice 6x2x2), that I could budget for a taller tank. This was the only plan which passed the department of war and finances approval (the wife).

It's a custom made @ 28" tall. I now have to stand on a foot stool to do anything on the bottom of the tank.
I've also added a few new plants and just re-aranged the wood pieces.

This last one is the family shot

    Enjoy...!!!!!!

    Hi there,

I like your discus & tank set up. Very nice.

I still don't know that much about the different types of discus. What type is the yellow discus with white spots (one of your new additions)? Are there any more like him available?

    Cheers

TW I just found this site on Discus classification, which may be of interest to you: http://www.discusnada.org/discus/classification.html

I think that is a checkerboard pigeon blood.. very nice fish Matt - no peppering that I can see, I wonder if he'll stay that clean in a tank with a dark background??

Matt, your new tank looks seriously sexy!

I think without even trying (or maybe you did try?!?), you have one of the most beautiful assortment of Discus varieties in one tank that I have ever seen.

The new red melon (I'm not even sure what you would call the variety that it is), is absolutely gorgeous in colour. I want one!!

Keep up the good work mate.
