Wow Sam, he's stunning!
Did he have the long fins when you bought him? How long have you had him?
Is there just the one, or did you get more like this?

Its always had fins longer then usual. Its currently my favorite fish.
I plan on attempting to breed these wonderful guys during summer. I'm locating some stock now. If anyone knows of a place or person who is selling some 10cm+ clown loaches shoot as a PM.

I've seen some of that size (with normal fins) being sold, but they're in Adelaide. Let me know if you still want details, and good luck with the breeding program!

the lfs at Rhodes shopping centre has pretty large loaches. They wont breed unless you hormone them. I'll ask my guy if he knows of anyone selling large loaches.

Great Loach Sam, I didnt think that clownies breed in captivity... Maybe things have changed?

apparently they are breeding them in Thailand with hormone injections. Hopefully they'll stop taking them from the wild.
