    My dwarf cichlids!

hey guys just posting some pics of the dwarf cichlids i own. im hoping to get a pair of appistos to breed as soon as they are in store at finland.

my blue ram, ive had him for quite sometime.

i went to my LFS yesterday to get another algea cleaner (broke the old one) and i saw this little guy an he was only $10 so i thought ill get him, i think its a agasazi double red, can anyone confirm that?

heres a pic of an inka 50 i have, there growing slowly, an i think the whole batch is female though.

any comments would be great an if u want info thats fine

    Hi Nathan,

Am pretty definite the two Inkas with the side shot are females. If the other two are similar - then you've got all girls.

And I think their slow growth rate is quite normal - the pic from Peter (parkap) is about 5 months old. He's at least another 3 months to full grown (Peter's fish is about the size when I first got his parent).

Nice fish and shots Nathan. I like the little bristlenose in the foreground with the inka's.

Is that ADA gravel you've got with the agassizii?

    Hi Nathan

Yep that be A.agassizii double red I reckon. i got on board the inka buying from Heinz a while back and have ended up with 3 females, I have a male on hold with one of our fellow apisophiles, hope to get him in the next few days - where did you get the aggie for 10 bucks???

yea the aggie is in my 3ft discus tank, i recently re did it, u can have a look at the whole project in the amazon garden section, yes its ADA soil, great stuff.

the bristly is just a common one, got it from a member on ausfish forum for like $2 or somethn.

i got it from a shop on springvale road, amazing amazon.

they have had appistos before but mains just cacs so i was really surprised to see this one an it looks to be of good quality (correct me if im mistaken!).

there gettn in panduro's later this week, an i thnk other appistos.

yeah all the inkas look similar, some are still a bit small to be able to tell, but i have a feeling the lot of them are female.

i dnt really like amazing amazon mainly cz i dnt really like the ppl that work there, kinda seem like they dont have any time for you etc, but yeah good to see someone there nice enough to stick out and continue to try catchin a small fish in a big a tank, even after 10 minutes with not to much luck!
