    Nice fish and photos mate.

What type of camera are you using?

I find it very difficult to take close ups with my digital

    Any tips?

    Cheers

That Royal Whiptail is an awsome looking fish.

And the quality of the pics is terrific.
Thirty-five years keeping and breeding discus, and I'm still learning :P

    .

Use a tripod and heaps of aquarium lighting. I find those two simple additions help most photos come out a lot better. For pro techniques, I have no idea. I'm only a hack. lol. Great photos and I love that royal whiptail as well.

    cheers,
    Vien.

    thanks guys ...

biggie1985 -> i use my digital SLR and close up +4 filter ... and if you use those compact digital camera, make sure that it has a function called macro.
normally with macro function, the zoom will not work, so you need to adjust the distance yourself .... but the focusing will still work ...
and also what vien said, lots of lighting too ... you can try to make your room darker then the aquarium ...

    cheers,

    andrie
