    how to sex Geophagus Araguia Orange head?

    Hi all,

    Is thinking to get some of the Geophagus Araguia Orange head, can anyone ple advise on how to sex them??

    they will be ard 8-10cm. Also, how many should I get??

    not sure but i think male get long fins and maybe nicer than female.

    to be sure get a pair , buy 6 pick 3 big and 3 small that way the chance are pretty good

    Yep, that info sounds good, the males should have longer extensions on their fins, and more orange on the head. The males should be the larger in the group.

    Sorry this isn't a great pic, but this is one of my little males :P.. I think

    im new to geos myself however i found that the males are definelty larger , and more vibrant in colour than the smaller geos.


    check the posts and I recall seing one by Advisor Ben who posts the basic diffreneces

    Bun has some for sale about that size kwong maybe give him a pm as i know he wants to sell 3-4 of them.
