    Buying Angels

I have a spare 2ft tank (65lts) and haven't kept angelfish before - only discus. I am considering 2 angels.

Currently the tank is BB with just a heater, light and sponge filter.

I do have light coloured gravel and driftwood with plants attanched, that I can put in the tank.

My question is... should I have more than 2? How many can I have in this tank? Should I have other tankmates?

I would prefer a display tank and not into breeding...

    Suggestions would be appreciated... thanks.

    Hiya Del,

i would stick with just 2 angels as you will find they can grow quite big. As far as other companions you will need to keep it limited as when all the fish grow you will have a huge bio load. A few little corydoras species, a bristle nose catfish and perhaps a few tetras (largish) would all work well.

    Angelfish

    Thanks Ben.

Will I need a proper filter or will the sponge filter be ok?

    BB or add the gravel/plant?

    Get some blue rams aswell!

R.A.P.T. combo.. Ram, Angel, Pleco, tetra combo!

just depends what you like aye

re filtration - it is always better to get something with better capabilities. so long as it doesn't dint ur pocket too much, besides... seem to be alot of good prices on stuff lately..

    christmas is around the corner..

    Del,

I would also to put no more than 2.

As for decorations, you can do as you like ^^

Considering only sponge filter in the tank, you should do regular w/c to maintain water quality.

    Good luck.
