Newbie questions

Hello Everyone
I am planning a Discus tank. The taNK is A 65GAL 36x18X24. Lighting is 96 watt pc fixture made by coral life. My plans are for a planted tank so I need to know will this light work and is the tank big enough. I plan on using RO water as I have one from the prevoius setup(coral reef). My concern here is getting the water stabilized to a comfort range for the Discus What would be the best way of remineralizing the the water. Recommended filter for this tank, should I go with a hob filter or small canister filter. What circulation would be best for the tank. I know discus do not like a fast current. As I sell off the equipment from my reef I will convert it to equipment for the discus tank. So Many questions, not sure what what else Ill be needing.
Any and all help on planting this setup would be of great help.
