I planning on making one, when i lived in Perth we had a pond that was more like a mini creek that ran front the front of the house too the back.

The pump collected the water from the bottom and took it back too the top where it fell across a cascade of rocks.

We used to say it was around 15,000litres but now i look at it it must have been way more.

Only reason i am not building it now is because in Vic you cant keep koi carp. So i am try too see how i can heat 20,000liters so i can put discus in there. j/king but there isnt much in cold water fish, that do look good in a pond. Suppose gold fish will have too do.

You planning on buying one Ro?? would be intrested how your going too set this up in your apartment.

In victoria you can even keep koi, i think other states prohibit the selling of koi unless a registered retail store, but in Victoria there is nothing.

I think the main reason is because of what the european carp did too the murry and many of our other waters.

i could probably get some but the closest NLFS (Not local fish shop) is Albury which is just on the NSW side of the border. I visted the shop in Albury and was talking to him for some time. He was telling me that alot of victorian drive up too him just too get some koi. He also told me a few stories about people getting caught on the trip back
