    how to trim plants

    can someone please tell me what this plant is?
    THE PLANT IN THE MIDDLE
    and the real reason as you have read is how do i trim/prune it?

    it has grown out of control in just over a week and is starting to block the light to my hairgrass.

    Looks like Heteranthrea Zosterifolia.. To trim it, just take it all out, cut it half way from the bottom and replant the top.
