    Breeding Geo's

    What type of Geo are you breeding at the moment?

    i breed surinamensis. There easy to breed and i get about $5ea 4-5cm and i get 70-80+ each fry lot. My male is 28-30cm and the girl is only 18-20cm. i have 200+ atm 2-8mm in a grow out tank...they are growing 1mm every 2days ATM....Hope this helps

    breeding

    well i have a few that breed but because im retricted in space at the moment i dont raise any
    orange head tapajos
    dicrozoster
    surinamensis
    rio pindare
    red humps
    ive got some balzani that are coming up to breeding but thre so aggressive towards one another
    and must not forget the heckeli spawned the other day but they ate there eggs

    Chris, i also have some young balzani's.
    They are very agressive towards one another alright!

    The most dominant male is starting to get that classic ungly boof head features!

    they look really nice mine are around 8cm now there very trying im considering getting rid of them but supposably htey get better when there older my boss breeds them so he would know

    Anyone know if there is any truth to dropping temps to 15C for 3 months for gymno's?

    Give any Geo a waterchange using cold water and it is almost a certainty that you will have spawning soon after

    i think 15.c is a bit too cold, but a period of time at 22.c would be ok.
