    My new tank!

Here's my new 46 gallon Discus tank. When I took the pictures, there were only 2 fish in the tank...3 more have been added.

The first is, I believe, a "Pigeon Blood", and the other is a "Solid Maroon" (although the flash on the camera washed it out a bit...he's really is actually almost totally maroon most of the time with a black stripe over his eye...and then depending on his mood, gets faint black stripes on his body.)

I have since added a Blue Diamond, a Marboro Red and (I think it's) a Red Snakeskin.

Thanks for the kind words. I thought it turned out really well if I do say so myself.

I'm not sure I'm sold on the bubble wall along the back - but that was my wife's idea, and she loves it. (I should've turned it off for the picture since in the photo it looks like white streaks in the back.) I can't argue though since she puts up with my fish fettish - which in the case of Discus can be pricey - and let me put this tank right in the kitchen where we can all enjoy it. So we let her have the bubble wall!

    your on the right track...

make a few concessions here and there...

then next thing you know... wifey will be saying...

"Sweety, I think we should get another tank... what do you think???"

(then you know, success has been achieved and you will be doing what I do... mmmm, what piece of furniture can I replace with a fishtank...)

must have taken the pics on a slow shutter speed? bubbles seem to be very elongated, is that right?

as for the tank nice, i love planted tanks. and i love partners that put up with them almost as much . LOL

Name the next pair after yourself and your otherhalf, your sure to get a other tank ( just say we couldn't possiblely live with all the other fish, could we?)
