    viejita spawn

yay, after about 2 months of buggering around, my viejita finally spawned. First I knew they had done something was when the proud female was leading the little'uns around for a stroll yesterday. Most of them were still shooting off the sand like fireworks towards the mum, trying to swim. Today they were all free-swimming. I'm feeding them tiny tiny ground flake and green water mixed with some fresh infusoria. I had to take the male out last night, as the femme fatale was putting some smackdown on him, and the tank isn't really big enough for him to hide effectively (30 liters). the water is 5 ph and as soft as a down pillow. I filter it through tetra peat pellets, and a few days ago I boiled up some sphagnum moss and added the tea to the tank (about 1 liter of infusion). A day later I added blackwater extract, shortly after which the spawning must have taken place.
Anyway, here's a pic of the mum and her bubs.

    Congratulation Chris,

A very nice shot, shows the fry really well. Pity mine photo never turns out as nice.

    Thomas.
