    what types of plants dont need co2???

    im replanting my 3ft tank and dont wanna get into co2 so jsut wondering what sorts of plants are ok at the 30 degrees without co2, an would use liquid ferts and have a good substrate an lighting?

    the only type of plant that I can think of that thrive on no CO2 are plastic plants. good thing about those is, that you don't need to fertilise them, either

    G'day Nathan,
    There are heaps of plants that thrive without CO2, such as crypts, java fern and swords, plus countless others. I've found that grasses don't thrive too well however.
    As long as you get a good tablet fertiliser (eg Dupla) and have plenty of light (twin tubes), just about anything will grow.
    Especially Algae!!!!!!!!

    SEE 6 foot planted tanks and a few Discus

    pic No 3 is non CO2 just seachem excel and flourish plus azoo tabs pushed into gravel substrate is seachem flourite.

    wickedglass is right! plastic plants is the answer,
    also one thing wickedglass forgot to menton is
    that the leaves dont die too and the plants stay
    green all the time, thats what i use i glue
    them on drift woods, they look good.

    i'm currently having lots of success with the following plants with no co2 and 1 wpg:

    tiger lotus
    amazon swords
    crypts
    hygro
