Central Coast Virgin
Thanks to this forum which i have just joined i am now thinking about setting up a 200 lt planted discus tank and as i no very little on the finer points about discus i thought i may be able to pick a few brains.
1/ how many in a 200 lt tank.
2/ type
3/ tank mates clean up only
4/ plants/weeds
5/dealers good shops ect central coast area

That's about 51 gallons. Generally you can have 1 adult discus per 10 gallons, so in your case, about 5. You can have more juveniles, but unless you're willing to sell them, or move them to another tank when they get crowded, I'd stick to 5.
All discus like the same conditions, so it's just a matter of personal preference on what colours you like.
3/ tank mates clean up only
I have Royal Whiptail, Corys, SAEs and Bristlenose. I'd suggest a good cleanup crew of say 4 albino corys, two bristlenose and a SAE.
Depends on lighting. How many watts will you have over 51 gallons?
5/dealers good shops ect central coast area
