    Males get a row of bristles between the eyes running down to the mouth. Females don't.

    Matt, sometimes a male wont show bristles till about 10cm, although most show at 7-8cm some are late bloomers.

    i have bristle nose as well but have been told they don't like living with discus because they react badly to discus medication

    mine do well but is this true?

    I think I heard something like that, but can't remember the specifics. Mine have been fine, but the only things I've treated my discus with is whitespot cure, salt and melafix.
