strange algae - ID help pls
Hi guys,
My little 80L tank has this strange algae in my tank with my young discus.
I have attached a two photos which are about as good as I can get - It looks like the algae in the sticky thread about discus plague.
Should I just go and get some algae fix and dose the tank. I have had it in my tank for a month with waterchanges every 3 days.
Thanks
Tom

It's a bit hard to tell, but is is dark green, and furry. If so , it may be black beard algae.
I wouldn't use any algae cure with discus. Just clean it off by scraping. So long as you don't have any plants in that tank, it won't harm anything.

Can't make out much from the photo, but if it's white I'm thinking maybe a colonial freshwater cnidarian (cordylophora?). Related to hydra.
Just a guess.
