Good tankmates?
My dad and I are building a 250 gal. tank for our newly finished basement . We are planning on it being heavily planted with 8 to 10 discus in it.
Tankmates we have decided on so far:
2 Rams
10 to 15 rummy nose tetras
4 to 6 corydoras of some type
3 to 6 marbled of silver hatchets
4 to 8 emperor tetras
Are these good tankmates? Does anyone have any suggestions for corys to get? Any other tetras(besides neons and cardinals) that would make good tankmates?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Freyr,
i have white skirt tetras with mine... they might not be noticeable in a tank of 250gal but they do look good when swimming in a school...
i only have space for 3 of them... mine is about 5 - 6cm...

Hi:
Tetras and Corys are fine...and Hatchets are also fine...
But you need to ensure the tank top is covered...as hatchets have a tendency to jump out of water!!
Bye,

cory's generally prefer cooler water than the discus like say 24-26
some like sterbai are form hotter water's i believe there are a couple of other's though i do not recall there names at present
just a heads up as the cory's will likely suffer at discus heats
