    making tanks

    hi wood anyone no how were u can get
    the silycon to make my tanks any help wood be good as
    am in vic

    Bunnings just called silicone with aquarium use written on it, kind of bluey greenish color. I made one tank but unless you have a cheap supply of glass its the same costs as buying it.

    I'm making a tank with plyboard and hard wood mix because its going to be a all in one tank and stand

    The epoxy will set you up for about $40 a bottle from memory, i was going to do it once, but never got round to it..

    Keep us posted on how you go, gotta love DIYs....i think 3/4 of my equipment is DIY.

    use a silicone with ACETIC CURE info will be on pack. silastic 732 is industrial cheaper type and fine, keep away from nuetral and other cures. leave tank open and construct in well ventilated area cause actetic fumes stinky. leave to go off for 5 days or week advised b4 filling with water.
