why do we use the thnigs we use in beef heart food?
i know almost everyone uses B/H feed for thier discus. so do i
but why do we use B/H?
and the others
prawns
tuna
paprika
eggs
wheat germ
spinich
carrots
spirulina
and all the other bits and pieces?
and how often do you feed with this product and how often do you vary this to your other types feeds?

Some contain corotene increasing red color pigments. Others are just for vitiams and wheat germ supposedly helps keep them fertile.

yeah i use garlic as well!
most B/H recipes seem like the sort of thing that somene came up with after about 3 bottles of red.
flukes you seem to know what the go is.......
what is your "food for the kings"?

this is a ques from my wife,
"why beefheart? why not lamb heart? why not steak or other kinds of meat"
i could not answer her so can anyone else?

Think heart has alot of iron and protien just guessing, i know lamb heart has alot more fat than beef heart.
Garlic is good for helping their apetite.

I actually made my first batch of B/H the other day .The survivor once he got used to it loves it - one thing I did do was split of about a third of the mix before I added the gelatine (not enough - I will try to get it right next time) and added metronidazole then froze it in separate bags marked with a big M , that probably was the wrong way to do it so if anyone can tell me one way or the other please do so.
