I would be thinking maybe 6, but it depends on the size of the fiah, and as to how much maintenance you are prepared to undertake.

Its a walmart brand 55 Well I'll have 2 emperor 400's, a cannister filter and a uv sterilizer.

I am thinking maybe a 4ft standard, 48x18x18

(We dont have Walmart down here, so the brand doesnt help much)

Hi Texasborn,
Normally for adults fish it's 10gal per adult. Of course this all depends on how often you feed and change water. I overstock my tanks but I also do more waterchanges.
