Phosphate/Nitrate Balance
I am hoping that someone can explain this to me. The balance between PO4 and NO3 needs to be 1:10. Is this true for a freshwater aquariums or justed planted ones? If only for planted aquariums what is the logic behind it?
Thanks

It's not a need to be 10:1 it can be 20:1 it can be 10:2.
It's a general rule you can higher or lower it doesn't matter,it's good point to start from then once you have gain enough experince then you can do what you like.
It's aimed at planted tank's and it's plant food.
