    breding pairs

    hi everyone is it possible for a young male of 1 year pair with an exprienced female of 3 years and have fry its just that i have a pair of pb in a tank and the male doesnt seem intrested in the female at the moment so i put a male cobolt in and she seems very intrested in him i know the pb are a pair cause they have already raised fry for a friend, hope you can help cheers matt

    They can, and do change partners. Discus do not pair for life, and she may well be interested in a younger male, or it could have the effect of forcing the original male to get his act together and defend his mate. All in all, quite a good strategy.
    Thirty-five years keeping and breeding discus, and I'm still learning :P
