Age and size to start breeding?
At what age and approximately what size should discus start breeding?

Hi,
Discus become sexually mature at about 12 months. They may pair before this, but infertility may be a problem at this early stage.

Ditto James, with the male being slower to reach sexual maturity than the female.
As for size, that would depend on if they're stunted or not. Mature 3" stunted fish can and will breed, and throw nice fry, but usually it's more like 5+ inches.

So if someone was selling "8cm breeding pairs" they would definately be stunted?
