breeding tank

hi guys is it ok that my breeding tank has sand in it and im using a flower pot as a breeding cone also i put a uv light on as well will this all be ok. thanks matt

i would prefer bare bottom tank because you will have to keep the breeding tank as clean as possible. Also you will need to syphon all the poos with daily water changes, so bare bottom helps much.

Using flower pot is alright ^^

i use a bare-bottom. If u use sand and eggs fall from the pot, then the discus will not be able to find them. Also I find that they prefer softer light whilst spawning. It makes them feel more comfy
