Nice parents. I was just wondering are they noodles in a box filter I was under the impression that internal box filters cant have biological filtering.

Internal box filters can certainly have a bacteria colony to supply biological filtering. Their small size, and slow water flow means that the colony will be small, but with such big waterchanges as are needed in a breeding tank, it's not usually a problem.

    Hi Ben

I have talked to some people in Melbourne about the differents in our waters and there just about the same. The ph ranges bewteen 7.0 to 7.3 depending on the time of year, mostly hovers around 7.1 but at the moment 7.3.
GH is soft 3 drop into a test will changes the color so I think it bewteen 50 and 60,the same with the kh but I dont bother doing that.
