    discus in planted tank

    hi

I introduced 5 discus of approx 4" each into my planted aquarium,
i had them in another tank where I use the same water even for my
    planted tank.

As soon as i introduced within 10 minutes all the fishes came to top of
the tank and their breathing slowed down immediately, they were
as if floating dead. Immediately i transferred them to their old tank
and they were fine in a jiffy

what would the proplem in my planted tank, can any of you guys help me

Do you know what the water chemistry is on the planted tank? (pH, Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates, gH, etc)

How does it compare to the existing tank?

Is the planted tank a mature tank, i.e. cycled?
