Articles
I am seeking some volunteers who would be willing to spend a little time doing some species & subspecies research for a Discus profiles section.
Articles would be done in 2 sections;
Naturally occurring Discus using the following classification scheme.
1, Symphysodon discus, commonly known as the Heckel discus.
2, Symphysodon aequifasciata sp., which is broken up into 3 sub-categories,
a) Symphysodon aequifasciata aequifasciata which is known as the Green discus.
b) Symphysodon aequifasciata haraldi known as the Blue discus.
c) Symphysodon aequifasciata axelrodi known as the Brown discus.
& Tank bred varities (basic common strains only)...
Various data sources may be used, mixed with personal experience and/or known facts.
Articles would be broken down in to several key areas.
Characteristics
General care information
Breeding information
& any other relevant information that distinguishes each variety from the other.
thx
