    Melbourne water with high PH...

I just wanted to bring to attention Melbournians that there seems to be quite a high PH at the moment.
Have You tested your water lately for PH comming out of the tap?

At the moment in the last 24 hours it is reading 7.6

    Has anyone noticed this too?

Ben I've got 7.2 coming out of the tap, but I think I am on a different reservoir to you.

Still, it's higher than it used to be.

That's the same thing that started happening with our water here in Perth a couple of weeks ago after the first lot of heavy rains. The GH & KH were about 3 points higher as well.

Have you had any rain recently ?

bout time you guys caught up...

Sydney water has been at 7.6 - 7.7 for years.

(however after a day or 2 aging, it drops back to 7.0-7.2 in most cases)
