no they dont eat plants. have you been feeding them very well? i have a friend with a gibicep in a planted tank and all was fine. what coclour are the plants? your iorn levels may be low but that doesnt happen very suddenly. are your fish ok? something could have gotten into the tank and burned the plants.

What i have read is that iron test kits don't really work.
Maybe you need to up the ferts to every week.

How much light have you got?
    Do you inject CO2?
    How big is your Tank?

Those leaves are definately being eaten by something, otherwise all would be showing a similar pattern of damage.

Might be an idea to have a look with a strong torch about an hour after lights out. You might be surprised.

I wouldn't rule out them been eaten.
Did it start when you stopped using CO2?
I had a similar situation and found that it was lack of light.

I would say it needs more light at this point.
Maybe add some root tab for each plant.
I use aquasonic tablets every week.

I would add another white light, Place the plants under the 2 white light's and maybe add another hour up it to 10 hours.
