    Sharp edges

    Ben,

Those edges arent to sharp are they?

I have seen similar units made up using gutter guard that is like $2 for 8 metres and a offcut is threaded throu the join to fastner it. With a bit of work it can be made to shape the code as well.

My brother in law actually did it i will take a pic of it and post it here.

    Hi Wayne,
my first concern was having something metal in the water, so i overcome this by using the pvc coated wire, my second concern was the edges. When i made it, i filed any edges that might be of concern, the top is bent over. so its very safe.

I made one out of the gutter guard, and the problem was that the bloody thing floated!

    you can see it:

I had this other piece of plastic coated wire that i am using to wiegh it down.

how did you overcome this problem?

    cheers,
    Ben

My concerns with sinkers are that they are made of lead. I am not completly sure but this might poison the water?

    any thoughts??

    cheers,
