    Solid Black Veiltale Angelfish

    Hey Guys,
Just wondering whether anyone has had any success in breeding Solid Black VeilTale Angelfish. I've been told there pretty rare, but how true this is i'm not sure. Just love the way they look.
I'm after a few Juvi's if anyone has any.
    Cheers
    Rob

The black gene is deleterous in a double dose as is the veiltail gene.

that being said Matzilla has spawned some super veils that each carry 2 copies of the veiltail gene, I've got a a pair and and am attempting to cross them with some hetrozygous black velvets (solid black with red eyes), as the black gene is dominant and the veiltail gene is dominent i'm expecting 50% black veiltails.

so far thaey are showing no interest in each other at all, the supervails only want to breed with each other
