growing discus in a 8x2x2
hi all, i have decided to get a few discus and grow them up in my 8x2x2, im not sure where to start.....i dont know whether i should only have the one strain so they dont crossbreed with the wrong colours, please let me know what u think about it....i am planning to have 1 discus per 50 liters, how many liters is a 8x2x2?

There is a thumb rule however this also depends on what type of filtration you are going to use.

8x2x2 is a BIG tank, your discus will love it! 2 2260's sounds sensible, but with the price and tech advantegs of the pro3 2080 you might want to concider that instead (they use 1/2 the power!)
i'd stick with 1 strain but if your starting out with juviniles i'd personally stock no more than 12-16 MAX, understocking will give you a chance to get the feel for them, and the tank will be much more forgiving in terms of maintenance
