Why bare bottom. Is it because it is easier to keep clean?
LOve the little ones in the first pic. They are so cute when they are small.

You hit the nail on its head... easier to keep clean, therefore keeping the water as pristine as possible...

I felt creative last night, so after pulling some plants from another tank, using some exsisting wood and rocks, I have set up a new community tank (Non-Discus, mainly my Gup's and Peppermint BN's)
cost to set up $0.00 gotta luv that

oh... I have another 12-15 tanks to fill if i want...
just am running out of room real quick... having a 180g, 2 x 95g & 1 x 68g plus some small (-50g) tanks in 2 rooms, makes things a little squishy...

Nice setups Proteus.
I know the feeling about them ducking and running when the camera comes out.

I'll tell you what. Since you are out of room and it wont fit in the door of your apartment you can send me the 225gl tank. I'm sure I can find room for it and thats one less tank to worry about. How do you like that Idea? I love it.
