Arent these white faced Malboro's
All these different names can really make people think they are buying some special new strain of fish.

Well, u were in Penang. Did you ask the breeders to tell you the difference? Apparently there are are subtle differences.
The Discus Catalogue, published by Martin Ng (former President of the Malaysian Discus Club and International discus judge) shows the original strain make-up of what fish were used to produce the various strains such as the "Marlboro", "White face marlboro", "Red Melons" and other strains of reds which may seem similar on the surface but how they were created shows why they are different.

So what is the background makeup of these fish and what makes them not Malboros.
