    Discus acting funny

    Hi all

The 5 discus in my community tank have started hiding in the plants and gone off their food. Normally they are attacking the worm feeders when I put their food in, but yesterday and today they are barely eating at all. They also appear dark for a while, then normal, then dark again - I'm starting to get a bit worried about them.

    Tank params
    Volume : 240 gal
    Ph : 6.8
    Amm : 0
    Nitrite : 0
    Nitrate : between 5 & 10
    Temp : between 27 and 28.5

Tankmates include lemon & rummy nose tetras, panda & sterbai corys, a couple of clown loaches and a pair of blue rams.

    Recent Changes
The rams went in on Sunday after being in Quar for a fortnight and appear to be fine.

I changed brand of BW and BS this week to Aqua One from Hikari as no one has any Hikari BW & BS atm apparently.

    Action so far
I've added about 25tsp of salt to the water last night to see if that helps.

Any thoughts & suggestions would be appreciated.

    Regards

    Dave

Were the bloodworms nice and red or dark brown? I only feed bright red BW as dark ones may have been not looked after during frieght or are ones which have thawed and refrozen.
