Hi all I currently have 6 x 10cm discus in a 6ft 350ltr tank with 12 rummy nose. Im hopeing to add another 2 x 10-12cm snakeskin Discus. 6x marbled hatchets and 6x silver hatchets.
I change about 50% ever 3rd day do you think my tank will be overstocked with these new addition. O and i'd like to add a cattie or two aventually.
    thanks

    Gday mate,
Well ive been told the general rule of thumb is that each discus needs 40-50 litres...each. So u may be borderline with just the Discus.
Im sure that if u have good filtration and keep up regular gravel vacs and water changes you would be able to manage though...its always tempting to have a tank loaded....but sometimes it may just not work....
Make sure you do your reading!
    I know its helped me!

Thanks for the reply. I ended up with 9 adults in there but have removed 2 as they formed a pair and spawned, my first spawn so I was very excited.
So Ive added 6 silver hatchets and all seem to be doing well.

I love hatchet fish but I thought they couldn't handle the high temps of a discus tank. Let me know how they go
