My tank is finally up and running with Discus!

    Hi,

I've been reading this forum for a quite a while now and have been wanting to get a discus setup for over a year!

These are pics of my new discus - 2 are from a local discus based lfs here in melbourne and I've just got 4 from the latest shipment at SLS

I went a black background and it's bare bottom with just the one small piece of driftwood loaded with java moss - the boss wants me to go planted but I think I want the discus to get bigger before I try something like that

Please add comments / suggestions / criticism's - I value the opinions on this forum

And finally a big thanks to Kev from SLS - "I love em"

And this is a better shot of the trickle filter & sump, I've made some lids to help keep the heat in.

The red markers on the right hand side are water level marks at 10 litre increments so I now how much water I'm changing.

the pipe running up to the "shower head" is direct from my water storage barrel so water changes are nice & easy!

P.S. I'm wearing white socks when I took this photo
