    Pairs

    I think I know the answer to this but;

    Knowing that discus are monogamous and pair for life, would a widowed male pair with another female?

    Yep, there a few here who split and change their pairs all the time.

    you can swap them around. if you have a single male you can have him servicing two females in different tanks or even more depending on how virile he is .
    lately I've heard of trio's so thats something new to be investigated.
