male not fertilising eggs
Just a quick qustion I recently purchased a pair of breeders, apparently that have bred numerous times in the past. Any way on the last two occs that they have laid eggs, the eggs have not been fertilised, and have gone white within a day or two. On the last occ they laid them then moved them all on top of the sponge filter???. Anyone have any ideas why he may not be doing his job?
Thanks
ps they are in a 2x1x1 tank on their own.

He might be getting a bit old or if they are spawning often he might need a bit of extra conditioning. Sometimes it helps to seperate them for a few weeks and condition them seperately.
Cheers,
David.
