    Geophagus ID?

I'm starting to think these are dicrozoster. Anyone agree? You can see a faint opercular mark in the first photo. It was darker this morning, but i never seem to catch it in a photo

Very hard to tell at that size but the fourth vertical bar on Dicrozoster comes up into a Y shape. The majority of fish that are labelled and sold as Dicrozoster are in actual fact Abalios. Still trying to locate true Dicrozoster myself?

hmm.. now i look closer, the Y (in the 2nd photo) is on the 3rd bar so probably not dicrozoster.. I don't think Abalios either, as there is an opercular mark which i have yet to catch clearly in a photo

7 bars, 4th passes through the black spot, 4th also links to the 5th bar and you've also noticed a preopercular black mark... I'm pretty confident its a dicrozoster

Good eye's Brendan,i didn't even notice that. I wasn't saying that they were Abalios. Looking at the point that Brendan pointed out they might just be Dicrozoster.

It's always darkest before dawn ... so if you're going to steal some rocks
from your neighbours garden for your display tank, that's the time to do it.
