    shell grit....

    ive heard of people using shell grit to increase KH to keep ph stable , has anyone used this method and how effective is it ??

    I would not think this would have a place in a discus tank.

    It will also raise your ph most use this in marine or african tanks.

    This is in a community ... no discus. I have 3 tanks at home, 2 discus , 1 community ... soon to have anoth tank ... lol.

    ur using it to buffer which is what my question was
