The build up of my nano

I decided to try and get the mrs into the hobby so i bought a little aquaone 320 tank and stand ... (But its now another one of my tanks HAHA)

The tank was bought second hand and came with only a light ..

So i decided to get creative and build a mini reef on the back of the tank with some perspex.

Its got fluval sponge , bio balls, base rock & dead coral and a 380 l/ph powerhead.

The perspex was drilled on the top left hand corner to fit the spray bar

Then the right hand side was drilled a few dodgy times so the water could flow into the man made mini reef

After a week i bought some slatwater from my lfs and 1.5kg of live rock.

After another week i decided to speed up the cycle so i bought a freshwater molly (They can live in saltwater)

I let it cycle for another 4 weeks then i added my clowns

I was given some live rock so i added a few more rocks in

Water gets changed just under half once every 2 weeks ...

All levels are perfect and fish seem to be happy .,...... Except the don't have an anomone to live in ..

Give me 3 - 5 months and this tank will be "PIMPED OUT"

Please dont take this the wrong way, but:

    1. That tank is far too small for those maroon clowns.

    2. You need more flow for your corals.

    3. Unless you have supplemeted the lighting in that tank it isn't near enough for the anemone, and it will die.

the net is a wonderful resource!!

Yes I would encourage you to get more flow into the tank.. Purchase a Hydor Koralia pump or somthing similar. Its argumentative in relation to the lights but yeah id update these to some nice T5's atleast to play it safe.

If the nutrient levels are correct then you can generally get away with low lights for anemones but ive only seen this work with pro reefers.

Some Amphiprion ocellaris would have been better!
