For the trouble you would go through i think it would be easier to buy them or hatch them.
I do know of people that have grown them too adult size, not sure if they bred though. They need clean water and its hard too do water changes without sucking them up.
Ill try find the article i read on growing them to adult size.

Yeah that was the Article from Bill, i was looking for. Thanks Ryan.
Bill Pegasus is a NZ boy and have spoken to him a few times on his BS methods, i know he hasnt bred them but worry about getting them too adult size first, that is a task in its self.
Also does some great plywood tanks.. another article too look out for from him.
