    hi all,
just browsing through the site and looked at some many different discus photos but i found that some of them have white cloudy eyes!!

What is the cause of white cloudy eyes ?? age? nutrition? illness?? water quality?

one of my discus have this problem but the other one doesnt have it !!
they lived in the same tank, eat the same food!!

it's called reflective photography, and bad photography... Somehow, certain fish taken at certain angles on my digi cam makes them look like they have cloudy eye, and weird shapes.... like this fish pictured below... This fish has certainly got NO CLOUDY eye and is rounder than a dinner plate :P . Ladyred now owns this fish, and u can ask her.

Hi Billy - Kev is right - it's all in the camera angle. I can guarantee that this fish does not have a cloudy eye and is being groomed as a possibile entrant in next years discus show.

If you have a fish with a cloudy eye it is possibly due to some kind of injury, and should clear up in time. Water that is too acid, below 6, can also cause a cloudy eye, so check your water.
Thirty-five years keeping and breeding discus, and I'm still learning :P

Merrilyn has passed, but will not be forgotten - Goodbye dear friend
