4 Days isnt enough for a filter to mature.
To mature, bacteria needs to be established so it can break down nitrates, nitrites and ammonia. This usually takes a few weeks, but you can make this...

may seem weird but try putting some paper just on the surface of the water then lift it out... works for me when ever i have anything on my surface..
may only be a quick fix though.

hey
ive had some jungle ferns for couple weeks and they have started to grow roots on the back of thier leaves
looks like its starts off with a lil green bulge then in grows roots
