Just a question to the folks who puts the length of their discus up there.
Is the length including the tail or just the body?
My Leopard spot is 16.5 cm but that's to the end of the tail.

I got mine from Monaco at Canley vale for $9, which is a bargain, as it's HUGE. Probably takes me about 1 year to get rid of them, and mind you I have 3 filters runing for my 4 foot tank.

I only keep my lights on for 3 hours each day, from the time I come home from work till I go to bed, as I know that discus prefers dark.

I've used peat before and yes you do have to wash it before you put it in the tank, and for the first couple of days the bag will float until it gets it's density then it'll slowly start to sink....
