Appistogramma

Hi Everyone,

I have access to german order which has some great appisto's in it, what are you thoughts as Appistogramma as Discus tank mate, 8ft tank with 7 Adult discus.

There's good to go.. Like any tank with mixed species, be sure to give the Apistos some cover and they'll be very happy.
Both species enjoy similar water conditions, although I wouldn't be keeping them in temps >28C.

Since it's a display tank using adult Discus you can run it happily at 28C. In fact, you'll get better results from your plants since most don't appreciate the higher temps, and it will increase the range of tank mates you can use for the same reason ;)

I have always kept and bred Apistos in with my Discus at 28C.

What Apistos are you planning on? You have plenty of room so you can even consider some of the more aggressive species. A group of Nissenji would be very interesting to observe.
